The Dirty 30's
Joseph Heisser started working at Goodyear in 1973 and went through the rigorous apprenticeship program at Goodyear Hall. Every thirteen weeks, apprentices would move and work for a different department, providing him with a great deal of insight and experience into the diverse facets of the industry. Joseph worked for over 40 years at Goodyear, and persevered through several layoffs by working as a machine repairman, tire builder, in the drum booth, and then back in the maintenance department in the Goodyear Racing Division.
