Helen Surbey remembers her father, Pete Rose Jr., who worked in the BF Goodrich Print Shop from 1941-1981. A year after starting his career with Goodrich, Pete was drafted into the Army Air Corps and served for 3 years. He returned from the war and picked up where he left off. Helen's grandfather, dad, and brother all worked for the rubber company and were proud of their roots. They worked in the print shop, and Helen fondly recalls the sign outside of Goodrich that shared the number of days since the last accident on site. Pete lost the top of his finger in a work accident, and liked to come home to a quiet house after a long day in a loud workkplace.
